Story by Mu Su Li

Under the pale glow of dawn, Xue Xian, occupying a handmade paper effigy, is moments away from being exorcised. How did it get to this? He used to be a mighty dragon! Bound by a spell into this flimsy form alongside his irritating companion Jiang Shining, a restless ghost ensnared by the dragon’s misfortunes. The two are forced onto a perilous path to settle ancient grudges.

Xuanmin, an enigmatic monk drawn to the ruins of Jiang Manor by the lingering traces of a sinister curse, finds the crude paper figures he surmises are evil spirits. Determined to excise these two spirits, he tosses them into his pouch to take with him. Furious at his new predicament, Xue Xian swears revenge: If he must suffer this journey, he’ll make sure the aloof monk suffers right alongside him.

Thus begins an unusual pilgrimage for an exiled dragon, a restless ghost, and a monk with no past, who must unravel the tangled mysteries of their shared fate.
