I’m so excited to share a big milestone: I’ve completed my first doll!

I’m thrilled with how this project turned out, and I'm feeling energized as I dive into creating my next dolls. This last month has been quite busy for me, including a trip out of state and the adoption of a new dog. I just finished this doll before sending this email, so I haven't had the opportunity to take some great photos of him yet. However, I will be doing that soon, so keep an eye on my Tumblr and Instagram for those updates!

This doll encompasses many elements of the project, making it the perfect starting point and offering an opportunity to better define and develop the overall concept. Working on this doll was a lot of fun and allowed me to explore various ideas, helping me refine my process and solidify new concepts.

Next, I will be creating some Christmas tree toppers intended as gifts for my family members. Each topper will be unique and tailored to the recipient's personality while still reflecting the themes of this project and my larger body of work. I hope to create several of these, and with the Holidays quickly approaching, it will be a mad dash to the finish!

I will document my process and share updates in this newsletter and on my social media channels. During this project, I am also enhancing my website to visually align with my work and better showcase these projects. I plan to create a gallery of photos featuring this doll and others as I collect them. With each doll I post, I will include a written statement that offers insights into my approach and intent.
